BMW 3 Series 318i E46 manual petrol , 2003, (N42 engine 1995cc) Hi all, I am new to all these forums and such like, and to my first BMW car, so I have a lot to learn, and this is my first ever posting. Deleting the CCV without adding “someplace” for the “oily mayonnaise” to go is a recipe for disaster imho. Both the CCV and catch can solutions exist because all engines’ crankcase emit oily vapors. This is the link to the video of that other person i mention on my video I Jan 7, 2010 · It is a biotch to remove though, but you can make it extremely easy on yourself by just cutting the hoses on the old unit to remove. Add some assembly lube on the new fittings and install should be a breeze. Also clean out all the oil that are in the vaccum runner ports on top of the intake manifold. It does look as if the balance shafts are contained within the lower unit that contains the oil pump and the balance shafts. It looks as if the shafts and oil pump are driven by the oil pump chain. #1 below. Mar 29, 2012 · 2003 E46 318 n42 motor oil separator/pcv valve DIY.
